For the sake of cost and service to the people, these structures are mostly erected in densely populated areas. The surveyors and company individuals look for areas which can as well serve a larger group of people at the same time to minimize the cost and maximize the service users. The capacity limitation determines the spacing of the network sites.

Flat terrains provide possibilities for more spacing of networks, whereas hilly terrains reduce the spacing for the network sites. That is why it might be a little harder to get faster network connectivity on a hilly place as compared to a flat region. Connectivity is, therefore, more on the flat areas than the hilly ones hence the faster rates. Such logic can also be used to relate to the lower networks in highly populated areas since mobile phones might be blocked from getting the connections even when they indicate network presence.

In the changing world system and due to modernization, which has introduced the 4G and 5G, many mobile network providers are looking forward to decreasing the number of sites.
